A major truck manufacturer had to review its crimp tools due to;
- inconsistency in crimp results
- new water tight connectors with higher quality demands
A project group is set up comprising of service method engineers, staff from purchasing and the after market organisation. The task is to develop a kit of tools to crimp 39 open barrel connectors with a wire range of 0.5-6 mm2. The result is a kit of 5 tools covering the entire range. Of equal importance; The project met all the customers' price, quality, performance and lead-time requirements.

| A leading manufacturer of connectors for the cable TV market wanted to add a simple but reliable range of stripping tools to their product portfolio. Strict price and performance targets are set. Pressmaster's engineers develop two non-adjustable tools for RG6, RG11 and RG59 coaxial cables with exchangeable cassettes. The innovative design is patented, cost targets are reached and performance requirements are fully met. The tool has been a big success, with hundreds of thousands sold. |
